Merry Christmas (And Website Update News)

Christmas Comes To Main Street

First, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a warm house. I don’t think we’ll be playing golf for a few days.

Second, I’m working on revamping the website and waking it back up. The first thing I’ve done is begin an archive of the MGA Monday tournaments so we can look up results without wondering “Where is that email Larry sent out a few weeks ago?”. If you are on a computer, you can find the archive by hovering over the “Men’s Golf Association” menu tag at the top of the page. A clickable link to “Monday Tournament Results” will appear. On a phone or tablet, tap the hamburger icon (those 3 stacked horizontal lines in the upper left corner) and a menu will appear with a link to Monday Tournament Results, Click or tap the link and you’ll be taken to a list of results in date order, beginning with the most recent. I’ll also try to include information about the next scheduled tournament. (Of course, the first Monday tournament I’m doing this for is on a Tuesday, because that’s the way the world works.)

I’ll be cleaning the website up and updating the system to more accurately reflect what we’re doing these days. I’ll also post the Hill Country Golf Association schedule when it is finalized and create an archive of those results. If anyone has other information they think I should include, please let me know.

Several people have said they enjoy reading my rambling thoughts. I appreciate the compliments, and I’ll include commentary in some of the tournament results posts.

Once again, have a Merry Christmas, everyone.

      1. I really look forward to it. I enjoy hearing what the golfers are doing. Even more so since I don’t get to see anybody at Flying L. Thanks again.

  1. Thank you Charlie. Happy to see your posts again. Your stories are fun & entertaining. Merry Christmas from Steve & Lynn Ricker.🎄

    1. Thanks for your kind words. I was planning on getting started again when the course reopened, but time is passing. We’ve got some regular games underway at other courses and the Hill Country Golf events have been great, so there’s something to write about now and no reason to wait.
